A birthday and a new spring menu, what’s not to celebrate? Since North & Eight opened two years ago, they have gone from strength to strength delivering innovative food style and excellent coffee to the far north.

North & Eight are passionate about serving an array of healthy, locally sourced ingredients and products in all their dishes. Their spring menu continues this ethos with superfood heroes right though some more decadent dishes.

Alongside the kinds of offerings that will make goodness and virtue course through your veins – think, wild rice salad or poke Buddha bowl or raw zucchini spaghetti – you can up the ante, get out your camera and try the oreo pancakes or almond French toast; brioche loaf, frangipane, crème patisserie, pistachio ice cream and orange blossom syrup. High on the list of favourites is the Korean fried chicken on a waffle served with Korean bbq sauce, kim chi, gochujang mayo and slaw.

For coffee connoisseurs North & Eight use the Humbler blend from Proud Mary and they also make freshly squeezed juices and smoothies.

North & Eight are all about giving the locals a good time and feeding them well, but if you’re a little further away, you’ll be glad you made the effort to get there. The only dilemma you’ll face is what to choose from the menu.
