Cheerio is the epitome of a locals’ café. Tucked in on Lennox Street, just off Swan Street, Cheerio has a relaxed vibe and offers great coffee from Seven Seeds and a tasty looking menu.

The All day menu features favourites-with-a-twist such as the Cheerio muesli with organic yoghurt and rhubarb and pineapple compote, baked eggs with spicy beans and lentils, lemon labne and dukkah or the Cheerio omelette with all kinds of green goodness (snow peas, broad beans, peas, spinach, fontina cheese and chive crème fraîche.

I’d say there’d be some mornings when the breakfast burger would be hard to go past and if you come by later in the day, you can’t go wrong with a toastiem a sandwich or one of the Cheerio salads.

Cheerio has happily been doing its thing since 2012 and there is no diminishing in popularity. It’s tiny though, and so often full, so choose your timing wisely or robe yourself in patience and wait it out.
