STOMPING GROUND BREWERY BREWS SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR THE FFA CUP
By Jo Rittey
Stomping Ground Brewery has brewed a special craft beer, the City Pale Ale to help Melbourne City FC members and team both reflect on the year that was and celebrate the year to come.
Melbourne City FC commences its title defence in Brisbane on August 1 after its resounding success in the 2016 FFA Cup.
Melbourne City midfielder Luke Brattan, a local of Collingwood – one of Melbourne’s most vibrant suburbs – said the beer was all about reflecting on the 2016 final and looking ahead to the 2017 campaign.
“We’re really looking forward to the new season starting; we’ve been working hard over the past month in training and Wednesday gives us the opportunity to share our progress with members and partners.
“Winning the FFA Cup was a memorable moment for the Club, so it will be great to look back and share the moment again with the fans as we look ahead to the new season.”
The beer will stay on tap at the Stomping Ground from its members only launch tonight until it sells out. It will also available at several other venues frequently visited by Melbourne City FC fans.
