Last October saw the first installment of the Preston Market art project, which transformed the south block wall into a mural which reflected the values at the core of the Preston community: family, art, music, food and sustainability.

Completed by two incredible Australian street artists Brad Eastman (Beastman) and Elliot Routledge (Numskull), a cherry picker and a whole lot of paint,  the Market exterior was revamped, bringing life, colour and art to the community hub.

As phase-two takes place in February 2019, market-goers will be able to watch as James Reka (Reka One) installs an eye-catching mural on the markets west block, featuring imagery that showcases the diverse food and eatery offerings at Preston.

With an impressive bio, Reka has recently held solo shows in London, San Francisco, Denmark and Melbourne, and has pieces appearing in New York, Munich, Denver and Cologne exhibitions… its Preston’s turn!

Who: Street artist, Reka One

When: 25th – 28th February 2018.

Where: Preston Market, Cramer & Mary Street  – Preston
