Featured Dish: 24hr Braised Lamb Shoulder

Babajan is a modern Turkish and Middle Eastern eatery situated in Carlton North.

Their new summer lunch and dinner menu have a host of sharing and small plates, including Warm Olives, Baba Ganouj with Crispy Sucuk, Pickled Octopus with Marash Chilli & Oregano and Saganaki with Pears. Or head to the larger plates like the ‘King Ora’ Salmon with Z’atar, Asparagus & Broad Bean Labne, Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Lemon, Walnut & Mint Tabouli

But Babajan’s Braised Lamb Shoulder that steals the show. Slow cooked for 12 hours to loosen every sinew in the shoulder, then laid upon Spiced Tomato Pickle, Ispanak & Chickpeas. Delectable!
