If it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and you’re not really sure why, it might be because Christmas in July is coming to Brunswick’s Barkly Square. For one day only you can get festive on it, don your favourite reindeer sweater and enjoy Christmas northside styles.

On Saturday the 29th of July, Barkly Square will host its first Xmas in July party, transforming its Laneway precinct into a magical winter wonderland, complete with mulled wine, Christmas carols, decorations and falling snow.

Between 12pm – 6pm, there will be musicians playing Christmas carols, mulled wined, nutella donuts, a gingerbread man decorating workshop, and, wait for it, falling snow. What more could you ask for?

The kids can get up close and cuddle their favourite furry friends at the petting zoo and, if they’re feeling creative, they can express their festive flair at the Gingerbread decorating station!

Barkly Square Marketing Manager, Katrina Cheung says: “We are always looking to create new experiences for our locals and newcomers and we’re excited to share our debut Xmas in July with the community. Our Laneway is constantly evolving and we’re delighted to bring people together by giving them something to smile about in the middle of winter”.
